Moon Over Buffalo

The Joliet Drama Guild presented “Moon Over Buffalo,” by Ken Ludwig February 13, 14, 15,  20, 21, & 22, 2009 inside the Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park Theatre at 201 W. Jefferson.  This was the 2nd play of The JDG's 76th season.

George and Charlotte Hay, traveling actors in the twilight of their careers, are performing Cyrano de Bergerac and Private Lives in a repertory theatre in Buffalo. Charlotte has grandiose dreams of becoming a Hollywood film star; George, on the other hand, is quite satisfied as a stage actor, and sees live theatre as being superior to film.  When the call comes from Frank Capra’s office that the famous director is coming to see their show for possible casting for his newest film, the slapstick begins and love runs rampant backstage.

This farce kept the audience laughing at the misadventures of the troupe of actors.
